They’re back – and this time Oxford’ leading independent live venue The Bullingdon plays host to the Day of the Deadbeats for a night of Oxford’s finest live music. The Deadbeat Apostles release new Double A Side – ‘I’m a Man’ and ‘Viva la Evolution’ and have some fine friends joining them for the ride. Making it a night not to be missed are the amazing and much love Wonderland. Created out of an ever changing line up of psychedelic noise fans in the early 90s, Wonderland have played with Supergrass, Ride, Echobelly and The Candyskins. Having built a substantial and loyal following on the local Oxford music scene they are back in full force with their female fronted raw edged and shimmery indie goth. Then opening the show we have none other than the multi talented Oxford based electronica producer and remixer Tiger Mendoza. You could sum up Tiger Mendoza as an accident – but a happy accident. The music is his attempt to create great songs with beats, guitars and whatever other sounds and nonsense happen to wander past at the time. So come celebrate May Day with the Deadbeats – a celebration of spring and rebirth with some dancing around the maypole thrown in. A line up not to be missed. Early bird ticket offer of only £7.50 at WeGotTickets ends 1st March. www.wegottickets.com/event/499108/
