The 1st to take the stage at the very 1st The Day of the Deadbeats Festival 2018 are the magnificent Beard of Destiny. Made up of Gray Barlow (guitars / vocals) and Ian Campbell (drums / percussion) they will bring to you Electric beards with 6 string baritone guitar & stand up drum kit along with acoustic beards with 12 string acoustic guitar and cahon. Originally a Brighton boy Gray is now an Oxford legend and has gigged with many local musicians. However it was as a member of Nortica and then Lagrima that he was able to start developing his own songwriting style. And Ian on drums? It doesn’t matter if he’s sitting down on the cahon or standing behind a full drum kit, Mr Campbell comes on like a full orchestra and keeps everyone, including Mr Barlow, on the edge of their seats.
