Kicking off with Truck Festival and ending with Countryfile Live The Deadbeats have had 2 weeks of kicking out the jams with their country, soul and rock and roll swagger.  As local Oxford Mail legend Tim Hughes tweeted “No finer way to start the day at @TruckFestival than with a big old shot of country rock courtesy of @Deadbeats_Apos. Best twang this side of Austin. “. Next off were 3 gigs in 3 days starting with Cogges Beer and Cider festival where the awesome Glovebox Live laid down the music. Riverside Festival on the Saturday was as awesome as always  with the Oxford Mail stating “The Deadbeat Apostles were stunning, as ever, thrashing out super-tight boozy cowboy rock to make the heart soar, hips sway and feet move uncontrollably.”  Halfway to 75 went off with a bang with hangovers so monumental some are still recovering. The cherry on the cake was the scorcher that was Countryfile Live with awesome staging and sound sorted by the crew from BBC introducing. With the Cowley road Carnival and Common people already under their belts this really is turning out to be the Year of the Deadbeats. Can we do it all again please?
