We are thrilled to be headlining Klub Kakofanney 27th Birthday Weekend [Day 2] on Saturday 6th October 2018 at our favourite Oxford town boozer The Wheatsheaf Oxford. We’ll be bringing our usual energetic country, rock and roll swagger and sway which has led Nightshift Magazine to say we have “a well-earned reputation as one of the best live bands in Oxford.”
Klub Kakofanney celebrates 27 years of supporting live music in Oxford with three days of gigs at The Wheatsheaf. Saturday sees a delicious programme headlined by our good selves with support from The Mighty Redox Band, Oxford, UKFractureCountry For Old Men, and Glenda Huish – Boom!
THE MIGHTY REDOX
Veterans of the music scene, Oxford’s favourite punk hippy swamp rockers, The Mighty Redox, produce vibrant music and lively danceable rhythms that appeals to rockers young and old.
FRACTURE
Described as “the future of anthemic pop-rock” and likened to bands such as Kings of Leon and Ocean Colour Scene, the four-man Fracture perform epic live shows and have played alongside The Buzzcocks, and Happy Mondays.
COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN
A band which mixes blues, country, and Americana, fronted by the legendary Des Barkus
GLENDA HUISH
We start the evening with local singer songwriter Glenda Huish playing quirky acoustic folksy pop
