Unusually late to the party but a heartfelt thanks to all the love and support for Day of the Deadbeats 16 crew last weekend. Kicked off in style by the charismatic charm of the wonderful Scott Gordon Band who bought some exceptional blues ā€˜nā€™ western in their original Ulster Americana style. Then a mesmerising and frankly mind blowing set from the new line up The Ragged Charms. Recently recruiting drummer Neil’s brother Jim on bass the backline raced through ya veins and gave way for a set that charged head first like a rampant animal. Mean, surly, beautiful and powerful this really was the Charms at their finest. We feel so blessed to step on last at any of the Day of the Deadbeats gigs and this was no exception. Surrounded by excellent musicians, supporters for Oxfords live music scene and lovers of losing it all and letting go. Our hosts Noreen and Adrian at The Isis River Farmhouse and all their staff as always made the night. Warm, generous and giving their all. Thank you to all that took photos, came along and danced and for the incredible Felix for filming all the madness. Now lets get 17 ready for take off x
